Runscape features a fantastic real time combat system, and Betrayal At Falador is no exception. As in most games of this genere, combat is an important part of the game, allowing its players to retrieve items or gold dropped by defeated players or creatures and complete the all important quests.
The combat level is an indicator of how powerful a player or NPC is in combat. For players, it is determined by applying a complex formula to the eight combat skills. Players engage in combat by clicking on the enemy they want their character to attack and will automatically continue fighting until they either kill their opponent, die themselves or retreat from the fight.
When a players life points reach zero they ultimately die! Lost life points can also be recovered by consuming certain types of food and/or drinks. Players who die reappear at a respawning point of their choice with their life and skill points restored.

In the far kingdom of Asgarnia, the heroic Knights of Falador defend the land to protect its people. The Knights face evil threats that clamor from all sides and more importantly, from within.
Fearce enemies amass at their borders, and a silent killer stalks the night killing innocents and slipping away unseen in the chill night. A young woman appears in the eye of the storm, her arrival launches a chain of events that endangers the very fabric of magic itself. Unless the Knights can solve the riddle of Kara-Meir, everything they hold close may be lost for good. Their only one hope lies in the hands of an untested squire named Theodore!
